Ingredients

Brownies

1/2 cup~unsalted butter
8 ozdark chocolate(chopped)
1 cupgranulated sugar
3large eggs
1 tsp~vanilla extract
3/4 cupall-purpose flour
1/4 cupcocoa powder
1/2 tsp~salt

Tahini Swirl

1/3 cuptahini(well-stirred)
3 tbsppowdered sugar
1 tbspneutral oil
1/4 tsp~vanilla extract

Topping

3 ozhalvah(crumbled)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x9 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk sugar into chocolate mixture, then whisk in eggs one at a time until glossy.
  4. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt over chocolate mixture and fold just until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Whisk together tahini, powdered sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of tahini mixture over brownie batter, then swirl with a knife.
  9. Sprinkle crumbled halvah over the top.
  10. Bake for 28-32 minutes until edges are set but center is still slightly underdone.
  11. Cool completely in pan before cutting into squares.
